UPDATE- They did it. DISH cancelled AMC. Thousands of fans mourn across the nation but I think that down the road this will be seen as what it really is- a tipping point.
Television has changed so much in a mere 10 years and will continue to evolve.

AMC has been my favorite network for the past couple years. Even their slogan kicks ass.
Obviously it does. Breaking Bad is my all time favorite show, rivaled only by Game of Thrones.
Now because of legal bickering, DISH is planning on dropping the channel along with all of the emmy-winning shows. Honestly, I have never heard a more stupid idea in corporate management.
If AMC is dropped off DISH then the only thing decent about DISH will be HBO and Showtime… AMC would simply make even more from VOD and DVD sales because until their standard of quality drops, they will have extremely loyal customers.
You can email or call DISH to knock some sense in them but I’m not going to. I know AMC will survive, but as for DISH? That really depends on if they wise up. If the cable giant collapses, they have no one to blame but themselves.
I don’t even like DISH. I only have it for HBO/AMC because there’s no other way to watch new episodes Breaking Bad earlier… DISH even forgot to record one episode of Game of Thrones so I had to grit my teeth and watch the amazing recap knowing I wouldn’t get to see it until next year’s DVD release.
On a lighter note, the final season of Breaking Bad premieres July 15.
To AMC executive: If DISH drops you before the premiere then I dare you to make a VOD portal just for Breaking Bad and your other shows. I guarantee a big payday if not right away. You have the unique opportunity to nail the final coffin in cable… Do it.
