I rarely give a film more than 9.0 out of 10.

What am I missing? List a movie(s) in the comment section and I’ll watch it if I have not seen it.
Can anybody recommend some good anime films; such as Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away, (not series unless it’s under 20ish episodes) that have come out recently in 2009 and 2010? Or can you give me a site that may have such a list on that updates regularly?
Thank you!
If you like cyberpunk you must watch Ghost in the Shell. All cyberpunk films such as Matrix or many other have a lot of things inspired in this anime film. Once you have seen it, you can start to think in all the questions it throws.
Following the line you also have to watch Akira.
You should watch all the films by Hayao Miyazaki (the Spirited Away director). The Ghibli studio films.
On the other hand, I know you have said that you don’t want series, but you have to watch Cowboy Bebop (26 episodes). Or at least the film that can stand by his own. Cowboy Bebop, Knocking on Heaven’ doors.
If you don’t want to watch anime series you will lose a lot of good art. Including OST by people as Yoko Kanno with splendid composings for series such Cowboy Bebop, Wolf’s Rain, etc.
Serious adult manga is called Seinen. Take a look to existent series.
